Join CND on Tuesday 23rd July, 10am to 12 noon, Geneva time in the NGO room XXIII, UN building, in Geneva for our side event to the NPT PrepCom.

Disturbing noises have emerged in some European quarters – notably in France and Germany – urging the development of a European nuclear ‘deterrent’, in the context of a possible Trump presidency, and uncertainty about future US support for NATO.

The anti-nuclear movement argues against such suggestions: proliferation is not the answer to European security concerns. Join our expert panel to discuss this disturbing development.

Speakers include Melissa Parke, Executive Director, ICAN; Reiner Braun, IPB; Jackie Cabasso, Executive Director, Western States Legal Foundation, US; Naomi Zoka, Pax Christi Flanders; Alain Rouy, Le Mouvement de la Paix, France; and Kate Hudson, Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, UK.

An audio live streaming service will be provided for the meeting (no video). This cannot be recorded or saved to a file, you can only listen to an actual meeting that is on-going by connecting here. Please note the time difference – the meeting will take place 9am-11am UK time, 10am-12 noon Geneva time.

For any queries please contact the CND office on 020 7700 2393.
