Join CND, Peace Boat and the Hibakusha Project to hear from a survivor of the Hiroshima nuclear bombing.
International NGO Peace Boat has launched a new project, “Every Second Counts for the Survivors!”. This new project aims to make the most of the limited opportunities to listen to first-hand accounts from survivors, and to further strengthen grassroots connections between people around the world with the shared goal of abolishing nuclear weapons.
We will be joined by Mr Miyake Nobuo. Miyake-san has just turned 92 years old and was 16 years old when the bomb was dropped in Hiroshima (see profile). A representative of Peace Boat will also present the project and the meeting will be chaired by CND General Secretary Kate Hudson.
