Join the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) to commemorate all nuclear victims since 1945, on Hiroshima Day.
At 11:30am we will meet at the circle of pillars on the seafront near where the West Pier was sited. There will be an information stall where people can write messages on dove shaped paper cut outs that we shall string up between the pillars. At 1pm we’ll walk to the Peace Statue, to place some flowers with some text explaining the importance of the day, say a few words or read a poem and have a short silence.
