Reasons to oppose the motion:
- It will trash the TUC policy carried in 2017 – to diversify away from defence manufacturing. We must defend that policy and build our communities and workplaces on production for the public good and benefit us all!
- Passing the motion MEANS MONEY FOR WEAPONS, and not for healthcare, for homes, for education, for public transport, and for renewable energy. It does mean more money for arms companies but not better wages across all our industrial sectors.
