CND poster competition -

CND is delighted to announce the winners of its poster competition, in conjunction with artist Peter Kennard.

We have been inundated with requests for posters during lockdown, as our supporters seek ways of raising their voices against nuclear weapons at a time when many campaigning activities are on pause. Now thanks to those of you who have participated in the competition, we have many beautiful and powerful designs to share.

Peter Kennard sends his congratulations to all who took part:
“Thanks to you all. It was great to see the artwork you sent in expressing such powerful and passionate condemnation of nuclear weapons and the arms race. Your artwork forcibly expressed that in our current situation with the NHS deeply underfunded, the madness of spending billions on Trident is magnified as never before. Your images showed that creativity is all on the side of social justice and peace. It showed that we must use our creativity to campaign ever more furiously against these obscene weapons of total destruction.”
