Join Christian CND for a public conference.
Speakers include:
-Theresa Alessandro, the Director of Pax Christi, who will talk about developments within the Catholic Church on the issues around nuclear weapons.
-Steve Hucklesby from the Joint Public Issues Team will talk about a new report on the financing of nuclear weapons, which UK based faith groups will publish in the autumn.
Workshops include:
-Don’t Bank on the Bomb – sharing ideas for campaigning to encourage banks and institutions to stop financing nuclear weapons.
-Christian CND 60 – find out how you can get involved in our 60th birthday plans for 2020.
-Conflict and Climate Change – discussion around the impact of military activity, including nuclear weapons, on the climate. Includes a short documentary.
The conference is a free event open to all. It will be followed by CCND AGM.
