Each August the anniversary of the dropping of the first atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 is commemorated across the world. Join South Lakeland and Lancaster District CND on the Peace Pole in Abbot Hall Park for a vigil with readings, scattering of flowers on the River Kent, etc starting at 7pm. Look for the CND flags. Please bring readings and flowers.
Abbot Hall Park is a 10 minute walk from Kendal Bus Station. Nearest bus stop on 555 route is South Road. 15 minutes walk from Kendal train station. Parking is available nearby.
