Hiroshima and Nagasaki remembered: Littleborough

Each August the anniversary of the dropping of the first atom bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 is commemorated across the world. Join Rochdale and Littleborough Peace Group to mark the occasion at Hollingworth Lake.

We shall be listening to readings of poetry and prose, followed by a minute’s silence before we each cast a white flower onto the lake. We shall have our peace group banner as well as CND ones and the peace rainbow banner. We’ll be gathering first at the jetty.
