Join peace activists from Didcot and Oxford to remember the anniversary of dropping the first bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and to call on the UK government to sign up to the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons.

Hiroshima Day – Friday 6th August – will be marked with a gathering for reflection beside Ladygrove Lake in Didcot, while Nagasaki Day will be commemorated in Bonn Square, Oxford on Monday 9th August. To physically link these two events, we plan to undertake a Peace Walk from Didcot to Oxford along the Thames Path during Sunday 8th and Monday 9th August. Along the way we will give out leaflets and speak to people we meet.

If you would be interested in taking part in the walk (for all or just part of the route) or joining us at one of the events, please do get in touch with Marie Walsh by phoning 07999 090484 or emailing longmarch@riseup.net.
