Hiroshima event: Manchester

Every year, Greater Manchester & District CND members gather to remember the victims of the atomic bombings of Japan. As well as thinking about the individuals and families of those affected, it is an important moment to reflect on the dangers nuclear weapons still pose.

This year, Bury Peace Group will be hosting a ‘peace picnic’. There will be music, poetry and bring-and-share picnic. The guest speaker will be CND’s Dr Jenny Clegg, an expert on the politics of the Asia-Pacific region.
