How can we fight the UK’s nuclear arsenal increase?
As many countries are signing up to the UN’s nuclear ban treaty, Britain is going in the opposite direction: the UK government has announced a 40% increase in Britain’s nuclear weapons arsenal. This move breaks international law, increases global tension and risks starting a new nuclear arms race. It is also a massive waste of public resources when we need to be fighting the pandemic and the climate emergency.
