Greater Manchester & District CND has teamed up with the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) UK to host a training day on how to lobby in favour of the UN Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).

The event will consist of information sessions where you can learn more about the specifics of the treaty and its role in the UK context. Furthermore, we will also be hosting training workshops to build communication skills and lobbying methods, so that participants can feel confident in discussing the issue with their MPs.

We will have a range of influential speakers and trainers, including Janet Fenton (international campaigner and Scottish CND Vice Chair) and Sean Morris (Principal Policy and Research Officer at Manchester City Council and Secretary for Nuclear Free Local Authorities).

This event is free to attend. Lunch will be provided by the wonderful non-profit Real Food Junk Yard and any donations made on the day will go directly to them.

To register your attendance please RSVP by emailing gmdcnd@gn.apc.org
