Greater Manchester & District CND is hosting an event in the Protest Marquee in Piccadilly Gardens, to challenge the Tory government’s dangerous ‘Global Britain’ foreign policy and to demand that taxpayers’ money is directed towards the NHS and social care and away from more Weapons of Mass Destruction.
There’ll be:
• Poetry from the Bard of Bury
• Music from the Clarion Choir
• Speeches by Julie Ward (CND UK) on the Tories’ 40% increase of nuclear warheads (Nurses not Nukes!) and Pam Flynn (Greater Manchester CND) on UK’s ‘Global Britain’ foreign policy.
