Saturday 24 November
12 noon: Assemble at Whitehall (between Downing St and Richmond Terrace)
12.40pm: Photo-opportunity with children holding the names of children killed in Gaza – Whitehall (junction of Horseguards Avenue and Whitehall)
12.45pm: Protest will march to the Israeli Embassy; with prominent supporters leading the demonstration
2.30pm: Rally to start opposite the Israeli Embassy (junction of Kensington High St and Kensington Palace Gardens), with speakers including Bianca Jagger and Members of Parliament
A ceasefire was agreed on Wednesday 21 November, the terms of which included opening Gaza’s borders. The demonstration will call for an immediate end to the siege on Gaza and justice for those killed by Israel’s attack.
The demonstration is organised by Palestine Solidarity Campaign, Stop the War Coalition, CND, British Muslim Initiative and Palestinian Forum Britain; and supported by a wide range of organisations including the trade unions Unite, PCS, FBU, CWU and RMT and around 25 other organisations, including Jews for Justice for Palestinians and the Muslim Council of Britain.
