Date: Tuesday 23 February 2016
Time: 10:30 – 11:00 am press conference 11:00 am photo call
Venue: Committee Room 7, Palace of Westminster, London SW1A 0AA
Speakers: Caroline Lucas MP, Brendan O’Hara MP, CND general secretary Kate Hudson, Stop the War Coalition vice chair Chris Nineham + more to be announced.

Background: Saturday 27 February will see the Scottish First Minister and the Leader of the Opposition address the largest and most politically significant mobilisation against nuclear weapons in a generation. The Stop Trident demo will amass tens of thousands of people ahead of a parliamentary decision on whether or not to replace Trident, the UK’s nuclear weapons system. The political consensus for Trident is vanishing: whatever the vote, Trident’s future looks increasingly uncertain. Join us to get the lowdown on the alliance of groups coming together to Stop Trident this Saturday.

Photo call: The press conference will be followed by a photo call with MPs Caroline Lucas, Ronnie Campbell, Stuart Donaldson, Ian Blackford, Alison Thewliss, and others.

Register: Please let us know you’re coming by sending an email to  pressoffice@cnduk.org with your name and the media outlet you are reporting for.
