Setsuko Thurlow was at school when the building collapsed from the blast of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima in 1945.

Aged just 13, she saw her school friends horribly burned, many of them killed.

Setsuko has since travelled round the world to share her testimony, and warn people of the grave threat that nuclear weapons pose to humanity.

Never Again appeal

Survivors of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki atomic bombings have helped drive the movement against nuclear weapons for over 70 years. Please donate to our appeal to make sure the stories of the Hibakusha continue to be told and strengthen our campaign to prevent another Hiroshima or Nagasaki.
